Isabel Mary Narloch

Isabel M. Narloch, 85, of Grand Forks, ND died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Isabel Mary Helmowski was born on June 4, 1926 in rural Minto, ND the daughter of Martin and Mary (Mozinski) Helmowski. She grew up south of Minto on a farm and attended school in Minto, ND. Isabel married Leonard Narloch on October 19, 1943 in Ardoch, ND. They lived east of Ardoch before moving to Grand Forks. Isabel loved to tend to her garden and in the fall she enjoyed canning. She was a lifetime member of the Minto American Legion and the Eagles Auxiliary Club in East Grand Forks. Isabel is survived by: Daughters: Rene (Tim) Finnegan, Sun River, OR Bridget (Dave) Thompson, Grand Forks Son: Arnie (Rose) Narloch, Grand Forks Son-in-law: Don Diedrich, Warren, MN Sister: Lorraine Sundin, Fargo Grandchildren: Dan Diedrich, Jennifer Kazin, Janine Ikhaml, Lynae Schoen, Andrea Holbrook, Alison Narloch and Nora Sellheim. 10 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard; her parents; daughter, Arlene Diedrich; grandson, Adam Narloch; granddaughter, Karen Diedrich; and brother, Julian Helmowski. A celebration of life will take place on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at 10:00 AM in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St., Grand Forks, ND. Visitation and viewing will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home. Interment will be in the St. John's Cemetery, Ardoch, ND.
