Sean Dacus

Sean A. Dacus, 31, Grand Forks, ND, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in Grand Forks. Sean Alexander Dacus was born June 15, 1980 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of John and Alice (Hoffarth) Dacus. He lived in Pennsylvania and Nevada before coming to Grand Forks in 1994. After September 11, 2001, Sean enlisted in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Ft. Benning, GA and Ft. Drum, NY. He served two tours of combat in Iraq with the 10th Mtn Division before being honorably discharged and returning to Grand Forks. Sean knew he was always loved and supported by his family which includes his parents, John and Alice Dacus; sisters, Erin (Joey) Lauckner and Amber (Cory) Schullo and nieces, Isabel Schullo, Morgan Troutman all of Grand Forks, and special friend, Andrea Hewitt and her parents, Bob and Wendy and her brother, Tanner. Memorial Services: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. in Grand Forks. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at Amundson's. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery of Arlington, Virginia.
