Michael ray Storey Sr.

Michael Ray Storey Sr., 55, of Grand Forks, died Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Michael was born June 23, 1956 in Grafton, ND, the son of Walter & Helen (Perius) Storey. Michael grew up in the Reynolds and Buxton areas, graduating from Central Valley High School. Michael married Sheila Smith on June 18, 1976. He worked as a construction worker, a packaging operator and an oilfield roustabout. Michael was mentioned in the newspaper for being an employee of the month. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, movie going, and video gaming. In his younger years he received several track and field ribbons. He also enjoyed family reunions. He is survived by his wife, Sheila of Grand Forks; son, Michael Storey Jr. of Grand Forks; and siblings, Phyllis Hoffman, Anna Olson, Judy Manning, Jim, Terry, John, Ed, Carl, Rich & Tom Storey. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Jim and Walter Storey Jr. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND.
