Laura (Amelia) Lindemoen In the presence of her family, Laura (Amelia) Lindemoen, 69, Grand Forks, ND, died Monday, December 5, 2011 at home. Laura Sawatzky was born July 11, 1942 to Peter and Laura (Fish) Sawatzky in Grand Forks, ND. She grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School. On January 14, 1961, Laura married Bob (Gerald) Lindemoen and they resided in Grand Forks. Laura worked at Minnkota Power Co. for 33 years until her retirement in October of 2003. Laura enjoyed having dinner/movie nights with her best friends, Don and Shirley Lunski. Laura and Shirley's favorite hobby was shopping, where they were known as LaVerne & Shirley. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren and attending their activities. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. Laura is survived by her husband of fifty years, Bob; children, Mark Lindemoen and Michelle (Pat) Sabol; 4 grandchildren, Steven (Karli) Lindemoen, Jayme Lindemoen, and Colie and Lucas Sabol; great grandson, Graysen; all of Grand Forks. She is also survived by her best friends, Don and Shirley Lunski, Helen Evans, Carol Taylor, Gail Solberg, and special friends at Minnkota Power, and her loving dog, Oscar. Laura was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Rose and Dorothy; four brothers, John, Peter, Bob and Charles. Memorial Mass: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2011 in Holy Family Catholic Church, 1018 18th Ave South Grand Forks. Visitation: will be one hour prior to the mass in the church.
