Vincent Muir

Vincent "Bud" Muir, 77, Ardoch, passed away suddenly on January 10, 2012 at Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND. Vincent Muir Jr. was born in Grand Forks on February 16, 1934, the son of Vincent L. Muir Sr. and Anna J. (Benson) Muir. He was baptized at the Gilby Presbyterian Church. He attended school at Johnstown elementary and Gilby H.S. Vincent married Germaine LaFountain in Rolla, ND on November 21, 1960. They were blessed with three children, Vincent III, Alison, and Roxanne. Bud farmed with his family in Grand Forks County. He also drove semi-truck. He also enjoyed gardening, cooking, working on his tractors, and traveling. Some special events in Bud's life were being married for 51 years spending time with his family. Vincent is survived by his wife, Germaine; son, Vincent (Margaret) Muir; daughters, Alison (Marland) Tweed and Roxanne Czech-Muir. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Anna Muir; brother, Gordon and sister, Velva. Memorial service is to be held at Amundson Funeral Home on January 16th for close family and friends. A public visitation will be held Sunday, January 15, 2012 from 5 - 7 p.m. in Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND. It was his wish to be laid to rest at his farm.
