Ann Marie Bushee

Ann Marie Bushee, 90, East Grand Forks, MN died Sunday, January 22, 2012 in Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home of Crookston, MN. Ann was born May 2, 1921 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Ole and Anne (Anderson) Glimsdahl. She was raised and educated in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School and the University of North Dakota with a degree in teaching. Ann taught bookkeeping at Central High School from 1943-1944. She then taught for six years in Duluth, MN before going to work as a bookkeeper for the Farmer's Co-op Marketing Association in East Grand Forks, MN. Ann married John P. Bushee on December 27, 1968 in East Grand Forks, MN. They lived in East Grand Forks and spent winters in Florida until John's death in 1990. Ann was active in curling, bowling, snow skiing and golf. She was also a member of the East Grand Forks Senior Citizens, the Sons of Norway Gyda Varden Lodge and the Eagle's Auxiliary. Ann was very active in United Lutheran Church of Grand Forks where she sang in the choir, quilted and was a part of the circle group. Survivors include her step-daughter, Monica (Bill) Ross, Florida; grandchildren, John Lantz, Florida and James Lantz, North Carolina; great grandchild, Chandler Jo Lantz along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; and by her brothers, Warfield, Oliver, Elmer, Bert and Albert Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 26, 2012 in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in the spring.
