Matthew Froelich

Matthew Froelich of Grand Forks ND passed away in his home on January 31, 2012. He was born at Lisbon ND, August 5, 1982. He attended Carrington Elementary School, and graduated from Red River High School in Grand Forks ND. Matt worked at LM Windpower. Matt loved the outdoors and worked for two planting seasons on the Grand Forks County Soil Conservation tree crew. He enjoyed planting trees, and as he said "it is fun doing things to help Mother Earth." He also enjoyed music and being with his friends. Matt married Ashley Eliason in 2006. Matt was a loving father to his daughters Mary and Samantha Froelich. They were the lights of his life. Matt is survived by his daughters Mary and Samantha Froelich, parents A J Froelich and Nedra Hoberg, step father Ted Hoberg, grandmother Dorothy Carlson, brother James Froelich, step brothers Daniel Hoberg, Eric Hoberg (Jessica), Geminie Strehlo, Danny Strehlo, Ian Sumerville, step sisters Sarah Youngman and Sapphire Summerville, Aunts and Uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Grandfathers Richard Carlson, Art Schroeder, Jerry Froelich, Grandmother Ann Hultin. Visitation will be at 9:30 AM and a memorial service at 10:30AM Saturday, February 4 at the Amundson Funeral Home.
