Kathleen Olson

Kathleen T. Olson, 92, of Grand Forks, ND died Friday, February 3, 2012 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Kathleen T. Grefsheim was born on July 11, 1919 at Northwood, ND the daughter of Albert and Christine (Tandberg) Grefsheim. Kathleen attended elementary school in Dist. #69 and graduated from Northwood High School. She attended Mayville Teachers College and taught in one room rural schools for ten years. On September 24, 1944 Kathleen married Arthur Olson of Northwood. They farmed the Olson farm west of Northwood for 34 years. Kathy also worked for the Grand Forks School Lunch Program for twenty years. Art and Kathy were members of the Trinity Free Lutheran Church in Grand Forks, she did volunteer work at United Hospital for twenty years, enjoyed doing craftwork and being an active member of the Sons of Norway. Kathleen is survived by: Daughter: Beverly Olson - Grand Forks Sister: Audrienne (John) Engesather - Grand Forks Brother-in-law: Alvin Bohn - Edina, MN Many Nieces and Nephews She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur; sisters, Mardelle Bragg and Alverne Bohn. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Trinity Free Lutheran Church, 3426 Chestnut Street, Grand Forks. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7PM in the Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St. and also for one hour before the service in the church. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks.
