Colleen F. Omlid

Colleen F. Omlid, 80, of Thompson, ND died Sunday, February 26, 2012 in Woodside Village, Grand Forks. Colleen Francis Meagher was born November 17, 1931 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Evelyn (Johnson) and Thomas F. Meagher. She attended grade school in Grand Forks and transferred to East Grand Forks Senior High graduating in 1950. She married Marvin Omlid of Thompson, ND on September 17, 1950. She worked at Pur Foods in East Grand Forks. Colleen worked for the Grand Forks Housing Authority for 26 years before retiring. Colleen enjoyed rollerskating, dancing, gardening, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Colleen is survived by: Husband: Marvin Omlid - Thompson Sons: Chuck Omlid - Washington Dwayne (Elaine) Omlid - Thompson Rod Omlid - Grand Forks Daughters: Cathy (Dean) Hermanson - Arizona Tammy (Doug) Barnett - Pillager, MN Joni Hayes (Lonnie Johnson - Grand Forks 10 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, JoAnne Ivey. Funeral services will be Friday, March 2, 2012 at 2:30 PM in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be for one hour before the service in the Funeral home. Interment will be in East Walle Cemetery, Thompson, ND in the spring.
