Margurite Gerloff

Margurite Genevieve Gerloff Passed away on February 29, 2012 at Edgewood Vista in East Grand Forks, MN at the age of 95. Born Margurite G. Waring in Sioux Falls, SD on October 16, 1916 to Sena and Henry Waring. She graduated from Washington High School in 1934. She was the loving wife of late Edward John Gerloff. They were married September 3, 1938. She was the beloved mother of Greg and Scott Gerloff. She is also survived by her five precious grandchildren and three great grandchildren. During WWII, she successfully ran the family business while her husband was in the Navy. She became avidly engaged in a variety of hobbies including gardening, bowling, antiquing and crocheting. She had a creative mind and was always good at whatever activities she undertook. Most of all she loved animals especially the many dogs that were an important part of her life. Survivors include: her sons Greg (Leslie) of Grand Forks and Scott (Ruth) Alexandria, Virginia. Grand Children: Chad Gerloff (Grand Forks), Adam, Elizabeth, Ellen and Meg and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two sisters and two brothers. Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Grand Forks Humane Society at 4375 N. Washington St., Grand Forks, ND 58201 in Margurite's name.
