Penny L. Micka, 64, Grand Forks, died Friday, March 16, 2012 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Penny Lou Green was born in Grand Forks to Donald and Minnie (Offerdahl) Green on April 8, 1947. She attended school in Grand Forks including Central High School. Penny attended Cosmetology Schools in Grand Forks and in Louisiana. She owned and operated Devine Beauty Salon in Manvel for many years. She was later employed by Great Clips, Regis, Altru Hospital and the LISTEN Center. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Penny Green and Hugh Devine were married in 1972 at Watertown, South Dakota. They shared 27 years of marriage. She then married John Micka on March 24, 2003 at Las Vegas, Nevada. They shared their home in Grand Forks, ND. She is survived by her husband, John, Grand Forks; children, Tammy (Shawn) Johnson, Rapid City, SD, April Estess, Bosier City, LA, Shannon Devine, Grand Forks, Heather Devine, East Grand Forks, MN, Chad (Amy) Devine, Thompson, ND; Step-daughter, Kimberly Toso, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Kerri, Kyle, Christopher, Emily, Tre, Paislee, and Ella; brothers and sisters, Beverly(Leland) Evjen, Williston, ND, Marilyn (Phil) Yale, Manvel, ND, Donald (Ceci) Green, Arizona, Janice (Don) Grahman, Kansas, Myrna (Don) Topolinski, Wisconsin, Judy (Keith) Hawkins, Montana, Terry (Dan) O'Grady, Pennsylvania, Sharon (Bob) Olson, Grand Forks, Cindy (Roy) Dake, Montana.; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald Green and Minnie Lee, step-father, Clifford Lee; and Brothers and sisters, Shirley, Duane, Douglas and Jackie. Memorial Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2012 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks, with visitation one hour before the service.
