Adelheid Louise Simundson

Adelheid (Ethel) L. Simundson, 86, of Grand Forks, passed away March 22, 2012 at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks, ND. Ethel was born on August 7, 1925 in Cavalier, ND. She was the daughter of William and Amelia (Elke) Stark. She attended Crosby School. On September 27, 1944, she married Archie Simundson of Walhalla, ND. They lived and farmed outside of Walhalla for many years. She had also lived and worked in Chicago, St. Thomas, Grafton, Minneapolis and Crystal. She moved to Grand Forks, ND, in 2001 to be closer to family. She was a kind and caring person. She made friends wherever she lived. She loved collecting dolls, baking and making homemade jelly. She always shared her goodies and coffee with friends and family. Ethel is survived by daughter: Tina (Bill) Gose (Grand Forks, ND); grandsons, Richard and Anthony Gose (Grand Forks, ND); sister, Anne Rollefstad (Grand Forks, ND) and many nieces and nephews. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Archie, brother, Daniel Stark, sister, Mata Hartje and an infant sister, Marlene. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 25, 2012 in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1710 Cherry Street, Grand Forks, ND. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Crystal, ND.
