Alice G. Fladland, 88, Grand Forks, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in Valley Memorial Homes Eldercare Center, Grand Forks. Alice Knutson was born in Walle Township of Grand Forks County on October 8, 1923 to Andrew and Gertie (Fladeland) Knutson. She attended Rural Schools in the Grand Forks/Thompson area. Alice Knutson and Henry Fladland were united in marriage on March 2, 1945. They lived and farmed at Rye Township, Grand Forks County following their marriage. Mr. Fladland died August 11, 1989. Alice was employed by several local laundries including C&R Laundry, One Hour Martinizing. She later was employed by UND Plant Services and caretaker of the UND Alumni House. Alice enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, and winning at BINGO. Alice is survived by a son, Duane Fladland, Spokane Valley, WA; a grandson, Joe Nogosek, Jr. Ashland, OH; son-in-law, Joe Nogosek, Ashland, OH; other family, Lester and Nancy Marcott and their sons, Clay, Chuck (Missy) Marcott with their children, Addie and Chase; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, Dennis; daughter, Randi; 3 brothers, Knute, Arnold and Albert; 3 sisters, Thelma Anderson, Mary Caldwell, and Berget Anderson. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 in United Lutheran Church, 324 Chestnut St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. with a 4:30 p.m. Prayer Service Sunday, April 15, 2012 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks and for one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will be in Memorial Park North Cemetery, Grand Forks.
