Marilyn Beryle Hanevold

Marilyn B. Hanevold, 81, of Grand Forks and formerly of Gilby, ND, died Monday, April 16, 2012, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Marilyn Beryle DeGagne was born in East Grand Forks, MN on September 9, 1930. She married Lindsey Hickman in 1950. They had 5 children. In 1990, she married Harold Hanevold. Marilyn loved bingo and shopping for bargains at flea markets when she spent winter months in Yuma, AZ. She will be remembered for her unforgettable laugh and enormous heart that she shared easily. Her caregivers at Valley Eldercare became her friends and she was grateful for the many acts of kindness shown for her while living there. She is survived by her husband, Harold; children, Walter (Betty) Hickman, Gary (Carla) Hickman, Jodi McCarthy and Lisa (David) Tatro; brother, Leroy (Lillian) DeGagne; 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Connolly; & brothers, Leonard & Simon DeGagne. FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2012 at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. in Grand Forks. VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral service at Amundsons. INTERMENT: Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
