Russell James Lenz

Russell James Lenz, 49, of Reynolds, ND passed away unexpectedly on April 24, 2012, at Altru Hospital. Russ was born in Grand Forks, ND on April 17, 1963, the son of Clifford and Lovey (Schroeder) Lenz. He grew up in Northwood, ND and graduated from Northwood High School in 1981. He attended college at Mayville State where he received a degree in Elementary Education. He was a lifelong elevator employee, working at Reynolds United for most of his career. Russ enjoyed spending time out at Golden Lake, checking crops, doing every crossword puzzle in the newspaper and Sioux hockey. He loved being outdoors with family and also found a recent love for four-wheeling with his friends. He was said as being a great listener and having a "big heart" as he loved everyone he met. He touched many lives and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Russ is survived by his children; Darcy (Jared), Reynolds, Sabrina, Grand Forks, Janzen, Reynolds, grandchildren; Davian and Grace, Reynolds, brothers and sisters; Bernie, Northwood, Ardy, Grand Forks, Kelly (Dawn), Hatton, Marlene (Merle), Alberta, Canada, Lori (Jim), Northwood, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded into death by his parents Lovey and Clifford, brother Steve, sister-in-law Dawn, brother-in-law Bryan, nephew Erick, and his great niece Morgan. Funeral Service: Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, Reynolds. Visitation: Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 5 -7 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND
