Jeanette L. O'Neill, 86, Grand Forks died Saturday, April 28, 2012 in 4000 Valley Square-Woodside Village, Grand Forks. Jeanette Lorraine Haugsver was born in Grand Forks on May 23, 1925 to Olaf and Bessie (Nelson) Haugsver. She was raised and educated in Grand Forks, and graduated from Central High School after graduation she attended Union Commercial College in Grand Forks. Jeanette Haugsver and Mack O'Neill were united in marriage on May 7, 1950. They lived in Grand Forks and owned and operated O'Neill's decorating for many years. She later was employed by Allied Security as a security guard for American Crystal Sugar in East Grand Forks until she retired in her mid 80's. Jeanette enjoyed her time at Pine Lake, Minnesota, and loved tending her beautiful flower gardens. She is survived by a son, Rick (Charlotte) O'Neill, Gonvick, MN; two granddaughters, Jennifer Deitz and Lea VonRuden; 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Mack O'Neill who died on July 13, 1997. Memorial Services: will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks.
