Duane Schiller

Duane J. Schiller, 69, of Grand Forks, ND died May 11, 2012 in New Braunfels, TX. Duane was born on May 6, 1943 in Grafton, North Dakota. Duane joined the United States Navy in August 1961 and served until August 1965, during this time he served aboard the USS Edmonds (DD-406). Duane was a Master Police Officer when he retired in June 2008 after 42 years of service with the Grand Forks Police Department. Duane loved to travel and had visited many states and countries over the years with longtime friends and family members. Other hobbies included canoeing and searching for collectibles. Family members include his Daughter, Angela Schiller of Texas, Son, Brent (Michelle) Schiller of Washington. Grandchildren, Cassie, Hailey, Alex. Great-Granddaughter, Cambrie. His two brothers, Don (Marion) Schiller, Dale (Vicki Larson) Schiller both of Grand Forks. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Stanley and Alice Schiller, and brother Stanley Jr. Memorial Services will be held at Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks, ND, on Saturday, May 19th @ 1:30 p.m. with visitation a half hour prior.
