Ardis M. Embury

Ardis M. Embury, 67, of Grand Forks, ND died Monday, May 21, 2012 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Ardis Marie Anderson was born July 15, 1944 in Devils Lake, ND the daughter of Jesse and Ruby (Rasmusson) Anderson. She grew up and attended school in Fargo, graduating from Fargo Central High School in 1962. She married Ralph Embury in October of 1969. Ardis worked at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in East Grand Forks, MN, Valley Eldercare, and was the cook and housemother for Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. She was an active member of University Lutheran Church and prepared many meals for funerals there. She will be greatly missed. Ardis is survived by: Son: Kevin (Deb) Embury - Grand Forks Sister: Judy (Chuck) Odegaard - Plymouth, MN Step Sons: Rusty Romans - Bismarck, ND Mike (Shelly) Romans - Hallock, MN Granddaughter: Jade Embury - Grand Forks Step Grandchildren: Marissa, Michaela, Shad, Josh, Dustin, Leslie and Casey. Many nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph; brothers, Ronald and Jerald and her parents. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM in University Lutheran Church, 2122 University Ave., Grand Forks. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks.
