Lois B. Waslien

Lois Waslien, 84, of Grand Forks, ND died Sunday, June 3, 2012 in her home, surrounded by her family, under Altru Hospice care. Lois Bratager was born December 17, 1927 in rural Nielsville to Carl and Sophia (Rensland) Bratager. She grew up in Bingham Township on a farm and attended rural country school and graduated from Climax High School in 1945. She married Clifton Waslien on Dec. 17, 1947. Lois is survived by: Husband: Clifton Sons: Lorry (Kathy) Waslien - Buxton Lon Waslien - Fargo LaMonte Waslien (LeAnn Sutherland) - Buford, GA Kirk (Dawn) Waslien - Buxton Daughter: Dawn Omdahl - Fargo Grandchildren: Jennifer (Eric) Burton , Kari (Jeremy) Jensen, Sarah (Christopher) Brown, Nicholas, Andy, Brady and Cody Waslien. Great Grandchildren: Abby, Jada and Jace. Sisters: Ione Lian and Carol Glass She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Lenora Bratager; brothers, Sherman, Kermit, Raymond and Myron; infant sister, Clara. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 10:30AM in Sharon Lutheran Church, 1720 South 20th St., Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7PM in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St., Grand Forks. Interment will be in the Norway Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Cummings, ND.
