Eileen Knepper

Eileen Knepper, 68, Grand Forks, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in Altru Hospital. Eileen was born April 17, 1944 the daughter of John and Dorothy (Stein) Schumacher in Grand Forks, ND. The family lived in Reynolds, ND until they moved to East Grand Forks, MN where she attended Sacred Heart Catholic Schools. Eileen married David Knepper on May 5, 1962. They were married for 50 years. She worked for J.R. Simplot as a packaging line worker, retiring in 2009. Eileen's hobbies included camping, doing crosswords and puzzles. She was a NASCAR fan and an avid supporter of Dale Earnhardt Jr. She also enjoyed attending Fighting Sioux hockey games. Eileen is survived by her loving husband David, son; Scott (Barb) Knepper, Grand Forks, daughter; Tonya (Jeffory) Knepper Curtis, Emerado, brother Larry (Carol) Schumacher, Grand Forks, sister Doreen Dusterhoft, Round Rock, TX, sister-in-law Lucy Schumacher, Kennewick, WA, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill Schumacher, and brother-in-law, Rolland Dusty Dusterhoft. Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 1, 2012 from 5 - 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the start of the service all in Amundson Funeral Home.
