Noel P Stendahl

Noel Paul Stendahl 71, died in Sun City, AZ on July 10, 2012. Noel was born on October 18, 1940, to Claudine and Otis Stendahl in Northwood , ND. He attended public school in the Northwood area. He later attended Brown Institute of Broadcasting, after which he worked as a radio announcer and sportscaster serving in Grand Forks, Grafton, and Valley City, ND, Austin, and Staples, MN. He was an active member of community organizations in each of the areas he lived. He then worked as an Agent of the New York Life Insurance Company where he earned membership in the Million Dollar Round Table and was a frequent Council qualifier. He was an avid sports fan, especially of his favorite teams the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Alyce (Schanilec) Stendahl, sister Carole (Wendell) Ostlie of Chisago City, MN, and brothers David (Judy) Stendahl of Montevideo, MN, and John (Jane) Stendahl of St. Paul, MN, as well as all the many nieces and nephews he adored. Funeral Services: will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012 in United Lutheran Church, 324 Chestnut St., Grand Forks. Visitation: will be for one hour prior to the service in church. Interment: Memorial Park North Cemetery, Grand Forks.
