Roger Riske

Roger D. Riske, 54, Grand Forks, and formerly of Hoople, ND died Thursday, July 26, 2012 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Roger was born August 14, 1957 in Park River, ND the son of John "Jack" and Janet (Machovsky) Riske. He was raised and educated at Hoople, ND and graduated from Valley High School in 1975. Roger also graduated from Aaker's Business College of Grand Forks. He worked as a bookkeeper for Minnesota Dairy before going to work for United Van Lines and later Quality Moving and Storage where he was employed for many years. Roger also worked as a manager for Cross Country Couriers, as maintenance-manager of the Columbia Heights Trailer Park and as a forklift operator for Simplot of Grand Forks. He enjoyed camping, fishing and watching football games. Survivors include his son, Cody, Grand Forks; daughter, Ashley, Grand Forks; mother, Janet, Grand Forks; sisters, Sharon (David) Hinn, Waite Park, MN and Suzette (Byron) Jensen, Park River, ND. He was preceded in death by his father, John "Jack" Riske and by his grandparents. Private Memorial Services will be held at Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks.
