Gladyce Hendrickson

Gladyce Hendrickson, 93, Grand Forks, ND died Sunday, August 5, 2012 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND. Gladyce Omlid was born February 1, 1919 in Middle River, MN, the daughter of Charles and Annie (Olson) Omlid. She moved with her family to Fox, MN in 1921 and to Fisher, MN in 1928 where she graduated from high school. She attended Normal Training in East Grand Forks, MN then taught grades 5 - 8 near Climax, MN for two years. She later graduated from business college and worked in an office for 6 years. Gladyce married Stanley Hendrickson on May 25, 1946 in Fisher, MN. They lived in Grand Forks where Gladyce was employed as a Supervisor in the Medical Records Department of the Grand Forks Clinic. Gladyce enjoyed bridge and knitting and was a member of the PEO. Survivors include her daughter, Deb (Paul) Arnason, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Ross Hendrickson, San Francisco, CA, Marc Arnason, Minneapolis, MN, Beth (Tanner) Lundby, Grand Forks; step-grandchildren, Joycelyn Love, Fargo, ND and Alissa Lucke, Las Vegas, NV; great grandchild, Nolan Lundby; step-great grandchildren, Theron Humphrey and Jayden Humphrey; daughter-in-law, Karen Hendrickson, Fargo, ND. Gladyce was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley in 2005; son, Bruce; brothers, Olaf, Kenny, Hal; and sisters, Julie, Bea, Thelma and Clara. Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in Sharon Lutheran Church of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the church. Burial will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery of Grand Forks.
