Jane A. Van Bramer, 82, of Grand Forks, ND, died on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in her home. Jane Wooldridge was born September 20, 1929 in Altus, Oklahoma, the daughter of Marvin and Opal (Crossley) Wooldridge. At the age of 9, she moved with her family to Valley City, ND where she graduated from College High School in 1947. Jane then attended the University of Wisconsin Stout in Menomonie, WI, graduating in 1951 with a BS degree in education. She married Donald Van Bramer on June 9, 1951 in Valley City, ND. They moved to Misek, MI where she taught home economics for one year. She and Donald then made moves to Grafton, ND and Williston, ND before settling in Grand Forks, ND in 1962. Jane and Donald spent their retirement years at their lake cabin on East Pike Bay, Cass Lake, MN. They enjoyed watching their grandchildren discover all of the things the outdoors has to offer. Jane was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. She thoroughly enjoyed the many wonderful friends she met there and treasured the time she spent with them during the Wed. night suppers and church services, potluck gatherings, and the many other activities they shared. She became an avid reader later in life and spent many hours cuddled in her chair with a good book and her faithful cat, Maggie. Jane is survived by her children: Lori (Malcolm) Stennes, Grand Forks, ND, Paula (Dan) Bry, Rockford, IL, and James (Donna) Van Bramer, Seattle, WA; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Brian (Niki) Stennes, Brekken; Marc Stennes, Jessa; Susan (Brian) Caravello, Mya and Lauren; Patti (Ryan) Kolbo, Zak, Abby, and Noah; Keith (Amber) Bry, Caden, Alayna, and Keiran; Kyle (Anita) Bry; Stephanie Van Bramer; Ean Van Bramer; her brother-in-law: Jim Heinz; her nephew and nieces: Rick Heinz, Cindy Braddy, and Judy Hagy. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; sister, Carolyne Heinz; and an infant sister, Noreen Wooldridge. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1405 South 9th St., Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 3-5 pm at Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St., Grand Forks, ND A private family interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks.
