Leonard Franz

Leonard Franz, 70, Grand Forks, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 in Valley Eldercare. Leonard was born August 23, 1941 in Hankinson, ND, the son of Edger and Alma (Arndt) Franz. He attended school in Hankinson through 9th grade. He married Delores Lunski in 1964 and they divorced in 1969. He worked as a diesel mechanic, retiring in 1985. On July 27, 1991 he married Mary Tyce in Anchorage, Alaska. She passed away in February of 2005. Leonard liked to fish, play pool, spend time with family and friends and especially spend time with his grandchildren. Leonard is survived by his children; Leo (Gloria) Franz, Grand Forks, Tammy (Rocky) Rockwell, Larimore, Michelle Tyce, Grand Forks, Barbara (Dave) Bergum, Grand Forks, Debbie Tyce, East Grand Forks, Sarah (Jay) Scott, Keokuk, Iowa, David (Andrea) Tyce, Thompson, Robert Tyce, Grand Forks, brother Howard 20 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, cousins, and nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, and parents. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St Grand Forks, ND 58201. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service at the funeral home.
