Arlene Skari

Arlene Skari, 73, of Grand Forks passed away Saturday, October 13th, 2012 in her home. She was born March 20th, 1939 in Grand Forks, ND to Clifford and Ruth Anderson. She grew up and attended school in Meckinock and attending Grand Forks Central High School. Arlene married David Skari September 17th, 1960. They resided in Grand Forks and were owners of Dave's Radiator Repair. David passed away in 1974. Arlene continued to own and work at the shop until her retirement. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Arlene had a passion for life, loved to laugh, and enjoyed a good joke. Her home, family, and friends meant everything to her. She held a special place in her heart for animals and spent her time flower gardening, sewing, and reading. Arlene was survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Rich) Swangler and Charlene (Steve) Holweger, grandchildren Anna (Shayne) Klatt, Tara Skari, Chris Holweger, and Amy Holweger, great grandchildren Kaden Betteen and Karly Klatt, sisters Ann Louise Colby, Jean Shehab, and Joan Nelson, and her beloved cat Missy. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Ruth, her husband Dave, and her infant son Randy. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012 in Hope Covenant Church, 1601 17th Ave S, Grand Forks, ND 58201. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
