John E. Dolleslager

John E. Dolleslager, Sr., 63, of Thompson, ND died Thursday, November 15, 2012 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. John E. Dolleslager was born February 26, 1949 in Moline, Ill., the son of Willie and Margaret (Coppens) Dolleslager. He grew up and attended school in Moline, Ill and graduated from high school there. John served in the United States Air Force until being honorably discharged. He attended UND in Grand Forks and earned a degree in accounting. John married Janet Bohlman on October 17, 1970 in Thompson, ND. They made their home in Thompson and John worked for Menards in Grand Forks since 1985. John enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and woodworking. He was also a lifelong Chicago Cubs and Bears Fan. John is survived by: Wife: Janet Dolleslager - Thompson Son: John (Annette) Dolleslager - Thompson Daughter: Angela (Gregory) Jaros - New Hartford, NY Brothers: Ron Dolleslager - Moline, Ill. Roger (Kim) Dolleslager - Moline, Ill. Sister: Beverly (Larry) Moline - Fort Collin, CO Grandchildren: Ryne and Kailen Dolleslager Abigail, Mikayla and Elaina Jaros He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7PM in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Thompson Protestant Cemetery.
