Lorrie Ann (Hansing) Hirschmann, 53, of Grand Forks, died Friday, December 7, 2012, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Born on 3 oct 1959. After a year of fighting the toughest battle of her life, we lost a very special Wife ,Mother ,Sister and Friend. She touched the lives of so many people. We so much will miss her but lets celebrate all she has accomplished in her life. Lorrie Ann Kvamme was born on 3 Oct 1959 in Blackfoot Idaho Daughter of Eugene and Stella Kvamme. In her early years they moved back to ND where Lorrie began her education and her ultimate dream to become a Nurse---- She achieved that life long dream graduating from Northland Technical College and continued her passion at Valley Elder Care as a Nurse Lorrie was once married to Rodney Omlid. They blessed us with two children Aleasha, and Adam. Lorrie worked at Valley ElderCare for over 20 years and up till the time of her passing. Lorrie's passions was her dogs and her interest in the paranormal. She was aco-founder of and dedicated member of NightLife Paranormal She was also affectionately known as Afghan Lorrie to our friends in the Afghan Hound World Her and Her Husband Dave raised, and showed the dogs all over the country with great success. Lorrie was a dedicated member of the Grand Forks Kennel Club, and enjoyed spending time attending classes, events and meetings. They were also a regular attraction it the area nursing homes as therapy dogs visiting the residents. Lorrie also enjoyed her "craft days" and NASCAR. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, friends, and grand children. Lorrie was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was the most generous, loving, caring woman and blessed the lives of so many. Lorrie is survived by her Husband Dave, Daughter Aleasha, Son Adam, Grand Children Kayden, Brittney Susan, and Cali. Sisters Jeanie ( Tim Gust Grand Forks) Rita (Marlin Moreland Inkster)and Brother Harlan She was preceeded in death by her parents Eugene and Stella Kvamme, Infant Brother Ronnie, Husband Gary Hansing, Brothers Terry and Roger Kvamme.
