Reinhart Hoffman

June 14, 1935 — January 8, 2013

Reinhart 'Reyne' Reno Hoffman was born on September 13, 1932 in Bentley, ND the son of Frederick and Christina (Huber) Hoffman. Reyne grew up and attended school in Bentley, ND. He worked in farming in Western ND before entering the US Army. He married Joyce Klein on June 22, 1955 in Mott, ND. Reyne attended and graduated from Moler Barber College in Fargo. He and Joyce moved to Grand Forks in 1957 where Reyne owned and operated the Family Barbershop in Grand Forks for many years. Reyne barbered in Grand Forks for over 55 years enjoying the conversation and social networking. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed UND football and hockey. Reyne was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church and served as an usher for many years. Reyne is survived by: Sons: Marty (Gretchen) Hoffman - Grand Prairie, TX Tim (Susan) Hoffman - Keller, TX Brian (Bethany) Hoffman - St. Joseph, MI Daughter: Stacey Hoffman - Eagan, MN Sister: Hilma Kramer - Elgin, ND Grandchildren: Michelle, Chelsea, Kiersten, TJ, Cullen, Jessica, Summer and Kane. Great Grandchild: Joshua Reyne was preceded in death by his wife Joyce; parents, Frederick and Christina and 7 brothers and 4 sisters. Funeral Services will be Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at 10:30 AM in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1405 South 9th St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 to 7 PM with a 7 PM prayer service in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St., Grand Forks. Interment will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks. An online guest register may be signed at www.amundsonfuneralhome.com. Memorials are preferred for Reinhart Hoffman in lieu of flowers.
