Orlin F. Gunderson, 96, formerly of Buxton ND, died Sunday January 20th, 2013 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Orlin was born on February 20th, 1916 to Gunder and Martha Gunderson and grew up on their farm near Buxton. He graduated from Buxton High School. Orlin was united in marriage to Charlotte Molvig on November 11th, 1938. They established their home on a new farmstead in Stavanger Township where they farmed until retirement. They remained living on the farm until December of 2005, when they moved to Parkwood Place in Grand Forks, ND. Orlin enjoyed taking care of his large vegetable garden and keeping family and friends supplied with fresh produce each summer. In his spare time Orlin enjoyed fishing with his friends on Lake of the Woods, Devils Lake, and Lake Sakakawea along with numerous fishing trips to Canada. He also enjoyed wood working and built many of the tables and cabinets that they used to furnish their house. Later he developed an interest in building spinning wheels of all different styles. Orlin is survived by several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Charlotte, his parents and eight brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Buxton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at a later date at Immanuel West Cemetery, Buxton.
