Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Grand Forks. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was an avid sports fan. He loved the Twins, Notre Dame, Minnesota Wild, UND Sioux, Minnesota Vikings and whoever was playing the Packers. He loved golfing with his family and friends and was very competitive.
