William "Bill" Dale Iverson, 70, Grand Forks, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in St. Ann's Guest Home. Bill was born May 7, 1942, in Grand Forks, the son of Franz Iverson and Irene (Haugen) Iverson. He attended school in Grand Forks. In 1960, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country until his honorable discharge in 1964. He married Kathleen Schill on January 28, 1966 in Wales, North Dakota. They made their home in Grand Forks. He worked for Pillsbury in the processing department for 25 years. In 1989, he fulfilled his dream of owning a bowling alley. He became the owner and operator of Wilderness Lanes Bowling Alley in Cando, ND until his retirement in 2005. Bill was an avid bowler, being inducted into the Grand Forks and the Cando Bowling Hall of Fames. He loved to go golfing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. Bill is survived by his sons; Paul (Dede) Iverson, Todd (Cheri) Iverson, Scott (Diane Olson) Iverson, brothers; Donald Iverson, Jack (Carol) Iverson, Jim Iverson, Bob (Avis)Iverson, Gary (Renee Jopp)Iverson, Rodney (Anita)Iverson, Bruce (Cyndi) Iverson, sisters; Phyliss Wedin, Peggy (Bob) Gunderson, mother-in-law Margaret Schill, brother-in-law; Duane Schill, and grandchildren; Erica, Bre, Chris, Kylie, Jess, Sami Jo, Abby, Ross, Amanda. He was preceded by his parents, wife Kathy, father-in-law Joseph Schill, sister-in-laws; Jan Iverson and Linda Iverson, brother-in-law; Robert Wedin. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 18, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 4:00 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. in Amundson Funeral Home.
