Robert B. Pitts

Robert B. Pitts, 62, Grand Forks, died at home on Thursday, March 7, 2013 with his family by his side. Robert Barrett Pitts, the son of Gilbert Leroy Pitts and Eunice Mae (Barrett) Pitts was born in Steven s County near Morris, Minnesota on September 8, 1950. He attended school near Morris and graduated from Morris High School. He served his country in the US Air Force, the National Guard and National Air Guard. After his military career he was self-employed, installing floor coverings and also as a bail bondsman. Robert married Linda Larson, and later married Cheryl Arnold. He enjoyed traveling, computers, loved riding motorcycles and car racing. Robert is survived by: his wife, Cheryl, Grand Forks; children, Robert L. Pitts, Fargo, ND, Tammy Pitts, Willmar, MN, Glenn (Marcie) Westling, Fargo, ND, Wayne (Melissa) Westling, Cape Coral, FL, and Rebecca (Jeff) Poziembo, East Grand Forks, MN; 4 grandsons, 1 granddaughter; siblings, Larry (Shirley) Pitts, Alexandria, MN, Marilyn (Lyle) Miller, Alberta, MN, Roger (Joan) Pitts, Minot, ND, Lester (Ellen) Pitts, Bird Island, MN , Gilbert (Sandy) Pitts, Tuscon, AZ, and Ernie Pitts, Bird Island, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Samuel; and a sister, Mabel Gau. Funeral Services: will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1515 5th Ave NW, East Grand Forks, MN. Visitation: will be 2 to 4 p.m. with a 3:30 p.m. Prayer Service Sunday and one hour prior to the funeral, all in Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Interment: Resthaven Cemetery, East Grand Forks in the Spring.
