Margaret L. Knapp, 87, of Grand Forks, died at her home on Saturday, March 23, 2013. Margaret was born May 4, 1925, the daughter of William & Margaret (Cameron) McComas in Greeley, CO. She grew up and attended school in Rock Springs, WY. She received a teaching degree at the University of Larimie and later a Master's degree in education at UND. Margaret married Ronald Knapp on June 16, 1946 in Laramie, WY. She worked as an elementary teacher in the Grand Forks area for 25+ years. After retirement, Ronald & Margaret traveled all over the country in their motor home, wintering in Quartzsite, AZ. Ronald died in 2004. Margaret loved playing the piano for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed walking, gardening, baking, canning, and visiting family. She is survived by her sons, Robert ( Judy) Knapp of PA, David (Cabrini) Knapp of Grand Forks, Raymond (Ahuva Braverman) Knapp of CA; daughter, Ruth (Bob) Teschner of WI; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband; son, James Knapp; siblings, Howard and Elizabeth; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in Wesley United Methodist Church, 1600 4th Ave. North, Grand Forks. Visitation: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Tuesday, March 26, at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND.
