Jan Rosecrans

Jan Renee Rosecrans, 38, Grand Forks, ND died Thursday, March 28, 2013 in the Jamestown Regional Hospital of Jamestown, ND. Jan was born April 7, 1974 in Rolette, ND to Arnie and Marcie (Graber) Rosecrans. Jan was raised on the family farm until she moved to Grand Forks at a young age due to health care needs. She attended the Grand Forks school system. After she graduated, she worked at Agassiz Enterprises. In 1993, she was confirmed at St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Grand Forks. Jan enjoyed spending time with her family members who kept her busy with outdoor activities- fishing, swimming, camping, bowling, shopping for clothes and shoes, visiting many friends, aunts and uncles, grandmas and cousins. She also enjoyed the many travels she took with her dad. Jan enjoyed attending church services with her mom and step dad. Jan loved to sing Christmas songs and church songs. She loved all animals and was very caring and affectionate to children of all ages. She enjoyed participating in the Special Olympic events of running and swimming which she won many ribbons. Jan enjoyed a special connection with her sister and loved every moment with Bridget and her children. She also would travel with her dad or mom to see her brother in Colorado where she would go boating and spend time with Brent and his children. Survivors include her dad and step mom, Arnie and Pam Rosecrans, Bottineau, ND; her mom and step dad, Marcie and Joe LaPorte, Grand Forks, ND; brother and sister-in-law, Brent and Jodi Rosecrans; sister, Bridget Rosecrans; aunts and uncles, Doug and Delores (Rosecrans) Hoffert, Larry Rosecrans, Blayne and Patricia (Geisen) Graber, Jeff and Susan (Graber) Gartner, Gil and Marilyn (Graber) Fletschock; lifetime friends, Tony, Zach, Bill, Allison and her friends from Agassiz Enterprises. Jan was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rance and Viola Rosecrans, Emery and Della Graber; Uncles, Kenny Graber and Dennis Graber; Aunts, Mavis (Graber) Roerich, Melody (Graber) Collison, niece, Seerie Dolbeare; cousin, Joshua Gartner.
