Edna Vorachek

Edna R. Vorachek, 93, Grand Forks, ND died Monday, April 15, 2013 in Valley Memorial Home Eldercare, Grand Forks. Edna was born December 29, 1919 in Fordville, ND, the daughter of Even and Ragnild (Skjervem) Nelson. She was raised and educated in Fordville and graduated from high school there in 1937. She graduated from beautician school in Grand Forks. Edna married Wilmer Vorachek on July 27, 1940 Fordville. They lived in Lankin, ND, and later Park River, ND before moving to Grand Forks. Wilmer Vorachek died June 9, 1992. Survivors include sons, Terrance (Xiaohui) Vorachek, Grand Forks, Douglas (Jean) Vorachek, Grand Forks and Curtis (Holli) Vorachek, Springfield, IL, six grandchildren; five great grandchildren. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer; two brothers and five sisters. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 26, 2013 in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery of Grand Forks in the late spring.
