Gloria R. Carlson

Gloria R (Hendrickson) Carlson Gloria Rosella Carlson passed away on April 30, 2013 at the Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood, ND. Gloria Hendrickson was born on May 14, 1928 at the Deaconess Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. After graduating from Grand Forks Central she attended Mayville Teachers College and taught school for two years. Gloria married her grade school sweetheart, Floyd E. "Bud" Carlson on October 17, 1948 at Evanger Lutheran Church. Gloria retired from the KEM Temple of the Shrine in 2000 where she had worked for 38 years. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Nancy Barchus, Austin, TX and Vickie Carlson - Ihle of Grand Forks; three grandchildren, Nadine Roselle Carlson, Tucson, AZ, Jessica Gyle Gilpin, Melford, Virginia and Matthew Arthur Carlson Ihle, St. Paul, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bud; sister, Doris Rice; brothers, Neil and Kenneth Hendrickson. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 1:00 PM in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks, at a later date.
