Pearl V. McCreary

Pearl was born April 7, 1913 in Arvilla, ND to Claude and Rolena Riely. She married Kenneth G. McCreary on Nov. 30, 1930. They raised five children in Grand Forks, ND. Pearl was a homemaker until 1958 when she joined the staff at Straus Clothing Company; where she worked until her retirement in the mid 1970's. She moved to Hibbing, MN in 2007 to be near her daughter. In April Pearl was joined by over sixty friends and family members to celebrate her 100th birthday. Pearl is survived by her five children; Jacqueline Shaskey of Sun City West, AZ, Colleen Saunders of Asheville, NC, Gregory (Bonnie) McCreary of Tracy, CA, Suzanne Sorenson of Hibbing, MN, and Terry Dobesh of Sun City West, AZ; eighteen grandchildren and 40 great grand children. Pearl is preceded in death by her parents, her brother; Willis Riely and her sister; Blanche Griffin, her husband, and four sons-in-law; Dr. Robert Shaskey, Donald Saunders, Gary Sorenson, and Larry Dobesh. Services for Pearl will be held at the Amundson Funeral Home on Friday, May 31 at 2:00 pm with a visitation beginning one hour prior.
