Miriam I. Ugland, 99, Grand Forks, passed away July 30, 2013 at Altru Hospital. She was born May 25, 1914 to Marvin and Mae (Waterhouse) Pardee in Clinton, Michigan. She graduated from Oberlin College in Ohio and went on to teach music in Lewistown, Montana where she met her husband O. Lewis Ugland. She was an active gardener and knitter and active in many organizations including GF County Historical Society Craft Group, GF Symphony Orchestra, PEO Chapter AI, GF Curling Club, and United Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister. She is survived by a son Marvin (Galyn) Ugland, Fargo, 2 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 10:30, Monday, Aug 5, at United Lutheran Church with visitation 1 hour before the service. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery with a reception following at the church.
