Kerri Ann Kooyer Drees, 47, of Thompson, North Dakota went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, August 5, 2013 in Altru Hospital. Kerri A. Kooyer was born on June 12, 1966 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of James and Carol (Anton) Kooyer. She grew up and attended school in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Kerri attended National School of Broadcasting in Sacramento, California. She married Steve Drees on September 14, 1996 in Grand Forks. Kerri and her family lived in Fargo, North Dakota, San Ramon, California, Hibbing, Minnesota and Thompson, North Dakota, where she touched many lives and made many friends. Kerri was employed as a Radio Personality for Your QFM in Grand Forks at the time of her death. She was an active member of Thrive Community Church. She is survived by her husband Steve, Thompson, North Dakota; daughters, Tanisha (Steve) Krznarich, Buxton, ND, Savanna Drees, Thompson, ND; sisters, Kathi (George) Carden, Crystal, MN, Kristi (Jay) Nelson, Fargo, ND, Kelli (Jeff) Atchison, Lake Park, MN; brother, Ken (Brian) Kooyer, Crystal, MN; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that she loved dearly. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Hope Evangelical Covenant Church, 1601 17th Ave. South, Grand Forks, North Dakota. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Church and will continue until the funeral service. Kerri loved crossesplease feel free to bring one and place it at her casket in her memory!! In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Shine the Light, Inc. or Circle of Friends Humane Society. Interment will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks.
