William Buck

William "Bill" Lee Buck, 74, Grand Forks, died August 7, 2013 in Altru Hospital after a long battle with cancer. William was born on November 13, 1938, the son of John and Elvina (Lavender) Buck in Grand Forks. He graduated from Central High School in 1957. In 1969, Bill began his carrier with Bridgeman Dairy where he worked in sales for 45 years. He stayed with the company once it was sold for another 5 years until his retirement. Bill then took on the responsibility of being the health and safety manager for Hugo's supermarkets. Bill married Karen (Jevning) Anderson in 1986 in Sharon Lutheran Church. He loved taking care of his yard, often bringing joy to the neighborhood. He also loved to spend time at their lake home with family and friends. Bill is survived by his wife of 26 years, Karen, children; Kristi (Marti) Chromy, Farmington, MN, Brad (Jill) Buck, Grand Forks, Steven Buck, Fargo, step-children; Joel (Marie France) Jevning, Warren, MN, Barbara Jevning, Nisswa, MN, Brett (Suzett) Jevning, Nisswa, MN, and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John, Robert, and Gordon Buck, sisters Grace and Lorriane. At Bill's request no formal services will be held.
