Anthony James Kuznia

Anthony James Kuznia, 11, East Grand Forks, Minnesota, died Thursday, August 8, 2013 in East Grand Forks. Anthony James Kuznia was born August 2, 2002 in Grand Forks. Anthony is the son of Barry Kuznia and Jennifer Bartz. Anthony completed fifth grade last spring at Phoenix Elementary School and was currently enrolled in summer school at New Heights Elementary School. Anthony loved life and touched many lives. He enjoyed his friends at S.M.I.L.E., Special Olympics, and Development Homes, Inc. He is survived by his father, Barry Kuznia of Stephen, Minnesota; mother, Jennifer Kuznia, Grand Forks; sisters, Sophia Margaret and Elizabeth Rae; grandparents, Janet Luettjohann and Brian Hvidston, East Grand Forks, MN, Philip and Yvonne Bartz, Minto, ND, William Robert Mawson, Jr., New Jersey, Sandy and Duane Kuznia, Stephen, MN; great-grandparents, Judy and Leo Luettjohann, Crookston, MN, Ellendale Bartz, Glenwood, MN; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Joann and August Kuznia, Margaret and William Robert Mawson, Sr., and W.E. Bartz. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in United Lutheran Church, 324 Chestnut St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2013 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks and for one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Crookston, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Anthony's family which they will share in his name with Grand Forks Park District "S.M.I.L.E. Group", "Ali's Boundless Playground", and "Project Lifesaver"
