MaryAnn Gangelhoff

MaryAnn Gangelhoff, age 83, Grand Forks, died August 10th, 2013 in her home after a long battle with cancer. MaryAnn was born on June 6, 1930 in Hensel, ND, the daughter of Carl & Sophia (Puppe) Ill. She graduated from St Thomas, ND in 1948. She married Harold Gangelhoff November, 25, 1951 in St Thomas, ND. They resided in Grand Forks, ND. MaryAnn began her career after graduating from Aaker's School of Business at E.W. Bradys and later at Grace Baptist Church and Wally Mutual Ins. She was active in Homemakers, Immanuel's LWML and Quilters and an avid Sioux Hockey Fan. MaryAnn was preceded in death by her parents. MaryAnn is survived by her husband of 61 yrs, Harold; children, Joanne (Alan) Vasek, Grand Forks, ND, Cathy (Jack) Robertson, East Grand Forks, MN, and Marilyn Irrgang, Grand Forks, ND; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren (and one soon to arrive); Twin sister, Marian (Ray) Reinert; sisters, Doris Rustan and Darlene (Dewey) Nielsen: brothers, Charles (Ann) Ill and Carlton (Judy) Ill. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 5-7 PM., followed by a prayer service at 7 PM, at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks. Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Grand Forks, ND with visitation 1 hr prior to services in the church.
