Dolores Evengeline (Neste) Aeschliman May 17, 1928 - September 5, 2013 Dolores was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, the fourth of five children of Jule and Thonnie Neste. She was raised in Mekinock, North Dakota, and graduated from Grand Forks High School in 1946. She began a 32-year career as a telephone operator in Grand Forks in 1947. Dolores married Dale Aeschliman in 1949 in Fargo. Their two sons were born in Grand Forks in the early 1950s. The family moved to southern California in 1953 and then to Sacramento in 1959, as Dolores continued to work as a telephone operator. Dolores and Dale bought a 6-acre parcel in the Sierra foothills community of El Dorado, California, and built a home where she would spend the rest of her life with Dale. She continued to work for the phone company in Sacramento until her retirement in 1984. Over the years Dolores traveled back to North Dakota many times to visit numerous relatives in the Grand Forks area. Dolores is survived by her husband Dale of 64 years; sons Randy (Sharon) of Rio Linda, California, and Mark (Donna) of Arcata, California; three grandchildren Gabriel (Gianna) of Seattle, Rebecca of Sacramento, and Melissa of Rocklin, California; three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren of Rocklin; two sisters Juliet of Thief River Falls, Minnesota and Yvonne of Frazier Park, California. Funeral Service will be held at Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Amundson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held for 1 hour prior to the start of the service with cookies and coffee for all those who come. Interment will follow at Memorial Park South. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
