Patrick J. Toupin

Patrick J. Toupin, 49, of Grand Forks, ND died Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in his home surrounded by his family. Patrick James Toupin was born on February 10, 1964 the son of Fred and Geraldine (Olson) Toupin. He grew up and attended school in Grand Forks and graduated from Grand Forks Central class of 1982. He then attended and graduated from AVTI in East Grand Forks, MN. Pat was currently employed with Chicago Bridge and Iron as a welder. His life was built around family and all of his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed fishing at the Boundry Waters, riding his Harley and traveling. Pat had friends everywhere and he was very much a family man having maintained close ties with all. He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Machipiness; stepfather, Stan Machipiness; father, Fred Toupin; Sister, Lana Goethe, Carol Anderson, LaVonne Grosser and Vickie Welker; brothers, Larry Goethe, Laurence (Marge) Goethe, Donald (Ruth) Olson, Darryl Olson and Rolland Toupin. Pat was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Anna Olson; Rolland and Edith Toupin; and a brother David. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 10:00 AM in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St., Grand Forks.
