Doreen Y Olson

Doreen Y. Olson, 73, Hillsboro, ND, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at home. Doreen Skari was born March 24, 1940, in Park Rapids, MN, to Edwin and Inga Skari. She moved with her family to Grand Forks in 1952. Doreen was united in marriage to Harold Olson on June 20, 1957. They made their home in Grand Forks until 2008 when they moved to Hillsboro. Doreen worked at White Drug for many years and in 1980 began working at Wall's Medicine Center until her retirement. She was currently working a few hours a week the Post Office in Hillsboro. Survivors include sister, Dori (Tim) Hansen, Catharpin, VA; brothers, Edwin (Colleen), St. Paul, MN, Butch (Jean) and Ronnie, all Grand Forks, and numerous nieces and nephews. Doreen was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, July 2012, her parents; sisters, Virginia Higgins, Edwina Nordby; brothers, Raymond, Donnie, Vernon, David. Memorial Services will be 3:00 PM Monday, September 30, 2013 in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Monday and will continue until the time of the service in the funeral home.
