Arlene Brokken, 70, Grand Forks, died Monday, October 7, 2013 in Valley Memorial Homes Eldercare Center. Arlene Brokken was born to Thor and Marie (Fladeland) Brokken on September 19, 1943 in Long Beach, California. Arlene is survived by two brothers, Orville (Tine) Brokken, Majaro, Marshall Island, and Anthony (Nancy) Brokken, Vancouver, Washington; several nieces and nephews, Michael Brokken, Grand Forks, Melanie (Dr. Brad) Watkins, Lonoke, Arkansas, Brenda Peterson-Schiller, Clovis, New Mexico; Wayne (Anna) Peterson, Camas, Washington; also great nephews and nieces. Memorial Services: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Augustana Lutheran Church, 520 University Ave, Grand Forks with visitation one hour prior to the service in the church.
