David L. Anderson

David L. Anderson, 63, Grand Forks, ND, died Monday, November 4, 2013 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks due to complications from COPD. David Lee Anderson was born May 23, 1950 in Grand Forks, the son of Kenneth and Co-Eda Anderson. He was raised and educated in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School. He attended college in Wahpeton, ND and later the University of North Dakota. David was seriously injured in a single car accident and has spent the last 42 years in a wheelchair. However, he still remained active and loved refinishing antique furniture, hunting and fishing. David married Dorothy "Dori" Streifel in Fort Totten, ND during the Memorial Day weekend of 1976. Survivors include his wife, Dori Anderson, Grand Forks; brother, Terry (Dayl) Anderson, Grand Forks; sisters, Kathy (Larry) Benjamin, Glenwood, MN, Mary Ellen (Dean) Dahl, Thief River Falls, MN; step-mother, Marlene Anderson, Grand Forks and many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles. Memorial Services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, November 9, 2013 in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers the family asks memorials be directed to the Landon LaBine Medical Trust Fund (David and Dori's nephew)at any Bremer Bank.
