Jack S. Johnson

Jack S. Johnson, 77, Grand Forks, ND died Wednesday in Valley Memorial Home Woodside Village. Jack was born in Grand Forks on July 12, 1936. He was raised in Grand Forks. Jack worked for a food service company. He then began working as a Taxi Driver for Checker Cab which later became NoDak Cab Co. Jack worked as a Taxi Driver and Dispatcher for the company for more than 40 years before his retirement. Often known as "The Grumpy Old Man", Jack was an avid movie fan. He especially enjoyed western movies with John Wayne. He also enjoyed hunting in his younger years. Visitation will be Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM followed by a 7:00 PM in the Havig-Heen Chapel of 4000 Valley Square Woodside Village.
