Helen Lucke Valgren

Helen Jane Lucke Valgren, 70, formerly of Grand Forks and Orr, ND, passed away unexpectedly on November 16, 2013 in the Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City, ND. Helen was born on December 23, 1942 in Grand Forks, the fourth daughter of the late Erwin and Rudella (Dokken) Lucke of Orr, ND. Helen worked at various Grand Forks restaurants and motels. She is survived by siblings, Julianne (Carmen) Moen, West Fargo, ND, Ruth Luverne (Gerald E., MD) Cotton, Two Harbors, MN, Stewart Lucke, Minot, ND, Mary Elaine Malheim, Fargo, ND, Dorothy (John H., PhD) Muir, Cherokee Village, AR, Jeanie (Aplonio) Lucke-Torres, CA; daughter, Lucy Mae Valgren; son, Charles Valgren, and many nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Geraldine Lucke and a brother, Richard Lucke. Funeral Services will be 1:30 PM Wednesday, November 4, 2013 in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home. burial will be in Elk Valley Cemetery, McCanna, ND.
